Do's

  • Use in Open Spaces: Light fireworks in open areas, away from buildings, vehicles, trees, and other flammable materials.
  • Supervise Children: Always have adult supervision when children are using fireworks. Keep small children at a safe distance.
  • Wear Protective Gear: Use protective eyewear and clothing to guard against sparks and accidental burns.
  • Keep Water Handy: Have a bucket of water, a hose, or a fire extinguisher nearby in case of fire or other emergencies.
  • Maintain a Safe Distance: Stand back from fireworks after lighting them, and instruct others to do the same.
  • Dispose Properly: Soak used fireworks in water before disposing of them in a metal trash can to prevent accidental fires.
  • Check Weather Conditions: Avoid using fireworks in windy or dry conditions, which can increase the risk of fire.
